Problem:

Quantum had to turn away all business from investment banks that distributed prospectuses on IPOs and other offerings. The issue was that different shipping firms were used for domestic (FedEx), international and local deliveries, yet Quantum had to have the ability to manage all of these shipments within tight time constraints. Quantum wanted to handle local deliveries themselves, and to pass the appropriate information on to FedEx and the international delivery firms.

Solution:

Imperial performed the integration work needed for all the delivery companies' systems to interoperate with Quantum's. The new system made it possible for airbills and time-sensitive manifests to be created in either system and exchanged bi-directionally.

Result:

Quantum was able to provide its investment banking customers with web-based proof-of-delivery, regardless of whether the delivery was handled by FedEx, by Quantum or by an international delivery firm. Bottom line: Quantum enjoyed a new revenue stream. Quantum was so pleased with the work that they later chose us to integrate their systems with several other 3^rd parties'.
