Who is Imperial Systems?
We are a systems integration firm with expertise in solving some of the toughest
software and hardware problems of Fortune 2000 firms. Our experience ranges from
accounting applications reconciliation to web-and mobile-computing for transportation
logistics. Founded in 1992, our Microsoft and Linux Certified engineers have solved
interoperability problems for major corporations. We
believe that no project should be undertaken without a demonstrable ROI. Our
corporate offices are located in the Empire State Building in midtown Manhattan.

What does Imperial do?
We solve complex software, hardware, and integration problems for companies faced
with transportation logistics issues. We integrate multi-carrier delivery systems globally
and provide secure, web-enabled tracking for immediate & unified viewing, auditing and
compliance.

What types of problems does Imperial solve for their customers?
Most software, hardware or integration problems for real-time, near-time or batch
systems. We have driven projects ranging from minor enhancements to major systems
rewrites. A unique combination of systems and business process experience enables
Imperial to solve diverse integration problems where technical know how is not enough.
Clients tell us:
- I need to convert my high-cost, high-error manual systems and processes
to reliable, scalable and secure web-based systems that improve productivity and
operating margins.
- My dry goods company ships thousands of packages per day through 50
locations, and I need my computer systems to work with a variety of different
shippers, such as FedEx, Airborne and DHL.
- I need a company that will deliver the best off-the-shelf solution out there. If no
such solution exists, I expect the firm I hire to have the expertise and project
team experience to design, implement and support a custom application.
- I need to protect against hackers and viruses to improve security while lowering
my hardware and software operating costs.
- Many of my overseas partners still use 56k lines and the performance of their
servers is unacceptable. They can't upgrade but I still need better throughput.
- I need interoperability across different types of hardware, different types of
software and diverse geographical locations, but my staff lacks the expertise to
make this a reality.
We solve all of these problems and many more. Equally important, because we are not
beholden to any software or hardware vendor, we recommend and deliver what works
best for you at the best available prices.

What types of clients does Imperial serve?
Small-, medium- and large-sized companies who demand technology that is a
competitive advantage, not a nightmare.

What types of technologies does Imperial have experience with?
Ready for some alphabet soup? We know: Linux, SuSE, Red Hat, Windows NT,
AS/400, Solaris, Novell Netware, Palm OS, .net services, IBM 360, NFS, TCP/IP, CGI,
PERL, PHP, XML, ASP, HTML, XHTML, Flash, Java, PGP, Microsoft SQL Server,
Informix, IBM DB/2, C++, C, C#, Cobol, Frame Relay, PPP, ISDN, Borland Delphi,
CodeWarrior, VPNs, firewalls, wireless and handheld integration, and supply chain
management applications.
We also understand many more that aren't listed. Ultimately, however, understanding
these technologies is only an entry-level qualification. What's truly important is having
senior-level, real-world experience in identifying and solving integration and
interoperability problems when designing, implementing and maintaining complex
business processes for transportation logistics.

Why should I choose Imperial Systems?
For 3 reasons:
1. We do the job right the first time. We are systems integration experts with
years of first-hand knowledge in the transportation logistics industry. We
understand transportation logistics and the myriad of technologies that interact
with such systems. We have an impressive customer list to back it up. You can
depend on us to have intimate knowledge of how the major operations systems
at Federal Express and Airborne Express work. This
means you're paying us to get the job done, not to learn on your dime. Equally
important, we recommend the best long-term solution to your problem, and we
base that solution on your objectives, your time-frame and your budget.
2. We understand your business processes. Our knowledge of the shipping
industry extends beyond information systems and into the business processes
that drive them. Before we start an integration project, we perform a
requirements analysis to determine what needs to be changed, what doesn't and
what systems and people will be affected. For example, our analysis may
determine that an old accounting or currency system is the real obstacle to your
being web-enabled. By identifying and addressing the root cause of your
problem, we build long-term, robust solutions without unnecessary applications
or bells and whistles.
3. We are experts in integration and interoperability. Individual applications
often work well by themselves. But in our electronic and web-based world,
heterogeneous hardware and software systems are located in different places,
and run on different operating systems using different protocols. In this software
Tower of Babel, important data get lost, distorted and never transmitted. We
solve these interoperability problems without crashes and with minimal
downtime. This enables us to consistently execute integration projects on-time
and under-budget.

What types of software and hardware problems can you solve or solutions can you implement?
- Financial & accounting application integration
- Interoperability & middleware
